New Facade Installed on “Maytag Building” as CL-RED Works to Revitalize Downtown LaSalle, IL

Despite some delays caused by a prior contractor, the “Maytag Building” project in downtown LaSalle, IL. is progressing with the recent construction of a new facade, sidewalks, and parking lots.

For years 801-805 First Street, a prime piece of real estate in LaSalle, has simply consisted of a vacant lot and deteriorating building. We are working hard to transform it into a key destination that will revitalize LaSalle and beyond. Under the oversight of project manager Rafael Blanco, this property at the corner of Joliet and 1st Streets will be redeveloped into six upscale apartments over a restaurant, brewpub, and events space. This stately renovated property, featuring a new steel and glass corner building with corner patio, will breathe new life in LaSalle’s downtown and help realize its potential.
